I love to read. I am 67 (to my grandkids I am ancient but not to myself). We live on Lake Jordan, but not water front, in Titus, Alabama. My main hobby besides reading over the years has been crocheting. I was a single mom with 2 and beginning about September of each year I started making Christmas decorations which soon spread into stuffed animals. I made the money for my children's Christmas plus with any left over I caught up on my bills.
I remarried 22 years ago and we bought this place after living in Montgomery for 3 years. We cleared the land and I landscaped our yard and put in a vegetable garden. My husband thought I was nuts wanting a garden for only the 2 of us but he soon changed his mind. It is only a very small garden but I learned to make several different type pickles and pear relish. During this time I learned to make soap the old way, make candles and learned to quilt. I give my stuff away for Christmas and other occasions but sometimes sell it at a blue grass festival we have here.
